Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can't get there by bus, only by hard work, risking, and by not quite knowing what you're doing. What you'll discover will be wonderful: yourself. --Alan Alda

Meet Aidan, Duncan and Connor

Do you see that? Over there in the weeds and bushes. I see three little guys relaxing in the summer shade. I bet they think I can't see them. Aidan is the one on his back with a little butterfly on his foot. Doesn't he realize that the laundry isn't going to do itself? He is supposed to be knocking that out this afternoon. And Duncan...what is he thinking lounging on the side of the pond chatting with a cute little lady bug! The dishes and dinner are waiting for his attentions. Guess it will be PB and J, again...sigh... Oh, there he is. Connor is swinging away day-dreaming about who knows what. I know it isn't about sweeping, mopping and dusting which should have been done hours ago.

I knew I should have listened to the fellow who warned me about dragons and house cleaning. But what could I do? They are mighty cute and have a way with words. I was so convinced that they would do all the chores before running out to cool off. Drat! Wonder if I could dip my toes in there, sure is getting warm out here.

If you would like a set of lazy little summer dragons for yourself this is the class for you. You will learn how to build a base for the pond out of foil, poster board, clay and assorted embellishments. Then we will create our lazy little pond dwellers. Each is sculpted entirely from clay, no foil this time...Yippy! Followed up with a quick round on how to pour resin to make realistic looking water that won't make a mess sloshing on the floor.

This class is the first in a series of "Dragons for the Seasons". Next up will be a trick and treat filled frolic in a pumpkin patch or "A Beggin' We Will Go"

Note about selling your creations made as a result of this class:

It would be greatly appreciated if you make a reference to Sally Golubosky if you were inspired by these instructions.

The following is how Sally feels about it...

Being the writer of the tutorial I will tell you and any others up front...Go for it!!! I wish you much success with any you make and may they line your pockets with gold...OK being optimistic but what the heck! If I was worried about others "copying" my work I wouldn't put it out there in step-by-step photos and instructions of how to make them.
Have fun with the tutorial and sell away!
Sally
