I did the same as you womag. I bought a googuers silver bracelet I'd had my eye on for ages when I won my first short story competition. My first paid short story was My Weekly earlier this year and that money just went into the bank to help pay off the overdraft I'm afraid! I keep meaning to treat myself to something special every time I win some cash in a competition but it never quite works out like that.
