Many of the Makin’s Brand® products have been found to be very useful in applications other than clay. As such with our Ultimate Clay Extruder® in the use with fondants. Although the Ultimate Clay Extruder® was not intended for use with fondant there are many consumers who do use our extruder successfully in both personal and commercial applications of fondant. Makin’s USA is aware, when it comes to fondant, there are many different recipes which effect the fondant’s texture and viscosity. Some fondants are just too thick and hard to use with the extruder and the use results in damage to the push rod, plunger and/or barrel. It is recommended you take special precautions in ensuring the fondant has a smooth even texture and is room temperature before placing fondant into the extruder. Makin’s USA can only guarantee that their products will perform to manufacturer specifications “if” used as intended and in conjunction with Makin’s Brand® products. It is for these reasons we cannot force our manufacturer or supplier to warrant the Ultimate Clay Extruder® against damage resulting from use with fondants. It is recommended you purchase the stainless steel Ultimate Clay Extruder® if you wish to use thick fondant. The SS product is stronger and more durable than the Green aluminum extruder for these types of applications. Beware, if the fondant is hard and you apply enough excessive force over a period of time, as with any product, this extruder may be damaged. |

The green extruder is anodized aluminum. The barrel is approximately 5½" long. The opening is the same size as the silver one, approximately ¾" wide. All discs sold here are interchangeable. The Hollow Core adapters will work with either extruder. |
