Challenge #17 Poly Clay Play Jewelry from the Heart! Challenge/Swap
Please read carefully! Many rules are the same but there are some important changes for this Poly Clay Play Challenge.
*You must be a member of the Poly Clay Play Challenge Group in order to participate in the challenge, the swap or voting. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PolyClayChallenge/
1. Anyone who loves to clay, can play. This challenge is open to anyone.
2. You can enter as many jewelry pieces as you want.
3. All entries must be original. Use your imagination and have fun!
4. The piece must be mostly clay. You can have other embellishments such as beads, powders and/or ribbon. If you aren't sure about your idea, email me.
Your jewelry pieces(s) can be a necklace, a bracelet, a charm, a pin or a pair of earrings.
5. Don't tell anyone which entry is yours. Don't post pictures anywhere else on the Internet during the contest.
6. All entries must be mailed to me. I will take the photos and then your piece(s) will be put into the swap. If you send jewelry items that are very similar, only one of the similar pieces will be entered in the voting. If you have a preference of which one is voted on, please note it.
Mail them to this address following the instructions below.

7. If you have more than one jewelry piece entered in the voting and more than one wins, you will only be elegible for one prize. The next entry with the highest votes will win the next prize and so on.
8. Voters will choose their favorite entry keeping in mind the theme of the Challenge.
9. By entering, you are giving Poly Clay Play permission to use your entry as we see fit, including using the item in a future project or instruction sheet for Poly Clay Play.
10. The prize offered is not returnable. The challenge/contest is more for the fun of playing and sharing your creativity than it is about the prize. A prize of the winner's choice of one of the E-Books offered at Poly Clay Play, will be awarded for every 10 participants (not ornaments), up to three prizes total. For example, if there are 3 prizes given, they will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Prize List
If there are less than 3 entrants, no prize will be awarded.
3 - 9 entrants = 1 Prize Awarded
10 - 19 entrants= 2 Prizes Awarded, one each to the 1st and 2nd Place Winner.
20 - 100 entrants = 3 Prizes Awarded. One each to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners
Winners will be notified by email. If you have won a prize and have not been contacted, your email was probably lost in cyberspace or a Spam folder. Please don't hesitate to contact me!
11. You must agree to have fun! That is the main purpose of the challenges offered at Poly Clay Play!
12. Prize entries will be posted the day that judging begins. The prize winners will be announced after judging is over and will be moved to the top of the page. You will have to wait on pins and needles for the entries to be posted! LOL Have fun and join the challenge/swap!
Swap Rules and Important Shipping Instructions
1. If you are a prize winner and would like to have your prize winning entry back, please let me know and I will be sure you get it. Otherwise, for every entry you send, you will receive a different one back.
2. Please pack your entries carefully. I suggest you use bubble wrap and or packing peanuts.
3. Include the same amount of postage in the package that it cost to mail your package. For instance, if you are using a priority box and it cost $4.75, please add an additional $4.75. No metered postage please.
4. Be sure to include your name, address and email address inside the package as well as on the outside.
5. Please tape the package well.
6. Please put your entries in the mail in time to reach me by February 1, at the latest. If you send your package by Priority Mail, it should take only 2 - 3 days.
If you are mailing some other way, please check to see how long it should take to get to me and mail it soon enough. The voting will begin shortly after February 2. That will give me time to get your exchanged Jewelry in the mail, on the way back to you in time to enjoy for Valentine's Day.
If possible, please send your entries earlier so I have time to get them all photographed and the pictures ready for voting.
7. Please send me an email (polyclayplay@aol.com) letting me know how many entries you are sending so I can keep an eye out for them and can start getting the voting page ready. If your entries don't get to me on time, you will miss the Poly Clay Play Challenge Voting but if they arrive before I have mailed them out, you can still receive jewelry from the swap. Please be sure to let me know they are on the way. I am not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Please read the Basic Rules all the way through. If you have any questions about the rules, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Rules are subject to change. I will send an email to everyone through the Poly Clay Play Challenge Yahoo Group if there are changes.
Now, get busy on those pieces!! I would like to give away 3 "presents" for this challenge in addition to having lots to enjoy looking at before I have to mail them out.
I will be joining the swap and possibly the challenge. If I decide to join the challenge and one of my ornaments wins, the next ornament in line would win the prize. If you don't think it is fair for me to join the challenge voting, please let me know and I will refrain and only join the swap.
