Poly Clay Play's Challenge Rules...

Starting with March 2010, each month, challenge pictures will be due by midnight on the 10th of the month unless otherwise stated.
Please send your photos to me by then!

Please read these Rules all the way through.
If you have any questions about the rules, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Read the description of each challenge on the calendar.

*You must be a member of the Poly Clay Play Challenge Group in order to participate in the challenge or voting. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PolyClayChallenge/

1. Anyone who loves to clay, can play. This challenge is open to anyone.

2. One person/entrant can enter more than one piece but only one will be awarded a prize if more than one place in the voting.

3. Your entry must be original. Use your imagination and have fun!

4. The decoration and focus of the piece must be clay. You can have other embellishments such as beads, powders and/or ribbon. If you aren't sure about your idea, email me.

5. Don't tell anyone which entry is yours. Don't post pictures anywhere else on the Internet until after the contest.

6. Your entry must be e-mailed to me.

7. Voters will choose their favorite entry, keeping in mind the theme of the Challenge.

8. Have Fun! Yes, this is a rule and probably the most important one!

9. By entering, you are giving Poly Clay Play permission to use your entry as we see fit, including using the item in a future project or instruction sheet for Poly Clay Play.

10. The prize offered is not returnable. The challenge/contest is more for the fun of playing and sharing your creativity than it is about the prize. Prizes for any given month will be awarded for every 10 participants/entrants (not 10 entries), up to three prizes total. For example, if there are 3 prizes given, they will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Prize List
If there are less than 3 entrants, no prize will be awarded.
3 - 9 entrants = 1st Place Prize Awarded
10 - 15 entrants= 2 Prizes Awarded, one each to the 1st and 2nd Place Winner.
16 or more entrants = 3 Prizes Awarded. One each to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners

An entrant cannot win a prize two months in a row although the entry will still be named as a place winner.

Claiming your Prize

  1. If you won 1st place and did not win 1st, 2nd or 3rd last month skip to step 3.

  2. If you won 2nd or 3rd place, count the number of entries to see if you are eligible for a prize.

  3. Email me a picture of you holding the winning prize along with your complete mailing address.

11. You must agree to have fun! That is the main purpose of the challenges offered at Poly Clay Play!

12. Prize entries will be posted the day that judging begins. The prize winners will be announced after judging is over and will be moved to the top of the page. You will have to wait on pins and needles for the entries to be posted! LOL Have fun and join the challenge!

Rules and prizes are subject to change without notice. By entering the challenge you agree to the rules and notices.

Now, get busy on those pieces!! I would like to give away 3 "prizes" for every challenge.
