Poly Clay Play's Challenge Rules...

Each month, challenge pictures will be due by midnight on the 10th of the month unless otherwise stated on the Calendar. Because of time differences, as long as your entry has been sent to me by the morning of the 11th when I check my email, I will accept it.
Please send your photos to me by then!

Read the description of each challenge on the calendar.

*You must be a member of the Poly Clay Play Challenge Group in order to participate in the challenge or voting. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PolyClayChallenge/

1. The Poly Clay Play Challenges are meant to be fun and are meant to challenge you. Prizes are a bonus but not meant to be the main focus of the event.

2. Anyone who loves to clay, can play. Challenges are open to anyone as long as you join the Poly Clay Play Challenge Yahoo group. You do not have to be a member of the Poly Clay Play Club to join a challenge.

3. One entry per person. 1st - 3rd place prize winners cannot join the next challenge right after winning. They must skip a month to enter again.  If you did not receive a prize, you may enter the next challenge.  Don't tell anyone which entry is yours. Don't post pictures anywhere else on the Internet until after the contest.

4. Your entry must be your original design. Use your imagination and have fun!

5. The focus of your piece must be clay. You can have other embellishments such as beads, powders and/or ribbon. If you aren't sure about your idea, email me.

   If you send in an entry, you are agreeing to all the rules.

   Poly Clay Play is not responsible for lost or misdirected files. 
   You should receive notice before the challenge entries are posted that your entry was received.  Please contact me if you don't get a note from me by the challenge due date.

7. Voters will choose their favorite entry, keeping in mind the theme of the Challenge. Please, this is not a popularity challenge. Vote for the piece you think meets the theme best. Multiple votes will not count.

   The prize awarded is not returnable.

   If there are less than 3 entrants, no prize will be awarded.

   Prize List
   
   3 - 9 entrants = 1 Prize Awarded
   10 - 19 entrants= 2 Prizes Awarded, one each to the 1st and 2nd Place Winner.
   20 - 100 entrants = 3 Prizes Awarded. One each to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners
   9. Prize entries will be posted the day that judging begins.

By entering, you are giving Poly Clay Play permission to use your entry as we see fit, including using the item in a future project or instruction sheet for Poly Clay Play with or without compensation.

Now, get busy on those pieces!! I would like to give away 3 prizes for every challenge.

Note: I really enjoy hosting these challenges! It is fun to award the prizes and see all the hard work you put into your entries! But, what you may or may not know is, Poly Clay Play is not a huge company with many employees. I am it (with the help of my dear husband). That means I am in charge of the web site, advertising, answering questions, designing and writing all the projects each month for the Poly Clay Play Club, shipping orders, posting pictures etc.

With that said, please, please forgive me if I make a mistake, or occasionally forget an entry. I do my level best to do it all but sometimes I make a mistake. I want to be as fair as is humanly possible.

If you have a complaint or concern, please don't talk amoung yourselves... Send me a note!! Also be sure to include a good suggestion if you think there should be a change. I welcome suggestions! I don't have all the answers and I generally don't always have time to figure out a good solution.
